iPhone 14 to be Delayed this Year Due to COVID [Leak]
As the launch date approaches, the iPhone 14's leaks are on the rise, but this year's release may be delayed, not because of the closure of COVID. The report comes from the Nikkei Asia Index, which claims that Apple's suppliers in China are behind schedule.

According to anonymous sources familiar with the matter, Apple is urging its suppliers to speed up production so that they can monitor manufacturing schedules.

Apple's major suppliers in China include Foxconn, Pegatron, and Luxshare Precision Industry. The latter two companies are slowly merging with the reopening of the factory in Shanghai as the region suffers from the re-emergence of COVID-19. According to estimates, the production disruption could cost Apple more than $ 8 billion in revenue.

According to Apple's usual development schedule, the Cupertino giant should reach the verification test (EVT) stage for new iPhone models by June. However, a new report confirms that one of the iPhone 14 models has a three-week delay.

Apple plans to launch mass production by September, but it remains to be seen how the latest changes will affect the launch date. Apple usually unveils new iPhones by the end of September, but production delays could push the launch date into October.
