Along with its latest flagship phones, Sony also unveiled its latest mid-range phones at its recent launch event. The Xperia 10 IV, as the name implies, is the fourth addition to the lineup with a few design changes, but there are significant differences under the hood.
Design and Display
Internals and Storage
Qualcomm's Snapdragon 695 SoC 6nm is an upgrade to the previous Snapdragon 680 SoC. It will be paired with a microSD card slot for expansion with a single 6GB / 128GB memory configuration.
The phone will run pure Android 12 out of the box.
Cameras
The main camera has been set up since last year. It includes a 12MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto module with 2x zoom. Sony has added OIS and many new features, including Superior Auto Mode, Custom Night Mode, and more. The camera is unable to record 4K video.
The selfie camera is an 8 megapixel camera.
Battery and Pricing
Sony is marketing the Xperia 10 IV as the lightest 5G phone on the market (161 grams) with a 5,000 mAh battery. It supports 30W fast charging but no brick charging in the box.
The Sony Xperia 10 IV will be available in black, white, mint and lavender color options, starting at € 499. It goes on sale in June.
