At least 40 people have been killed and more than 100 injured in an explosion at a Bangladeshi company.
At least 40 people have been killed and more than 100 injured in an explosion at a container depot of a joint Dutch-Bangladeshi project in Bangladesh's Chittagong district, according to a foreign news agency. Civil Surgeon Ilyas Hussain confirmed the deaths of police and firefighters.
Ashiq Rehman, in-charge of the CMCH police camp, told local media that more than 100 people were taken to different units of the CMCH and more injured were taken to the hospital.
The fire broke out in the warehouse as firefighters and container depot personnel were trying to put out the blaze, fire service officials said.
