The Chery QQ Wujie Pro Electric Vehicle (EV) has attracted the attention of Pakistanis due to its short stature, stunning features, amazing range and affordable price. All of these features make the Cherry Mini EV a sensation on the Internet.
The company plans to launch the QQ Wujie Pro in China as an economy car and is a direct competitor to other small electric cars in the market. Here's what you need to know about EV:
Performance
The QQ Wujie Pro EV is the cherry's answer, especially to Changan's Lumin Corn EV. Changan recently unveiled the latter as its exhibit for the fast-growing electric vehicle market in China.
There are four different types of QQ Wujie Pro. The base variants have 73 horsepower, 150 Nm of torque, 301 kmph driving range and 120 kmph top speed. High end variants have a driving range of 408 kmph, 90 hp, 120 Nm of torque and a top speed of 125 kmph. All types have the same electric motor that drives the rear wheels.
The QQ Wujie Pro's performance numbers indicate that it will be well above its weight class in terms of both entertainment and utility.
Features
In addition to the powerful options of the power train, it will also have advanced technical features such as:
- A 3rd-gen Qualcomm 6155 chip meant for automobiles.
- 540-degree panoramic view for various driver assistance features.
- All-digital driver’s display.
- Smart Infotainment system.
- A.C.
- Airbags.
- Multiple drive modes.
Comparison
Based on performance, here’s how Chery QQ Wujie Pro compares with its direct competition:
Performance | Wuling Honguang Mini EV | Changan Lumin Corn EV | Chery QQ Wujie Pro |
Power (horsepower) | 17.4 hp | Base Variant: 41 hp | Base Variants: 73 hp |
High-end Variant: 48 hp | High-end Variant: 90 hp | ||
Range (Kilometers) | 9.2 kWh variant: 120 km | Base Variant: 150 km | Base Variants: 301 km |
13.8 kWh variant: 170 km | High-end Variant: 210 km | High-end Variant: 408 km |
It should also be noted that QQ Wujie Pro is likely to have better features than its competitors. With these improvements, the Chery QQ Wujie Pro demands a starting price of 79990 Yuan (2.41 million PKR), which makes it slightly higher than its direct competitor but lower than the larger EVs.
Launch in Pakistan
Some web-based platforms have started spreading rumors with the claim that Cherry will soon launch QQ Wujie Pro in Pakistan. Unfortunately, these claims are false.
The company has not yet launched an electric mini car in China, where it will compete with the country's best-selling car, the Wuling Mini EV. Therefore, Cherry needs to manufacture and sell large quantities of small electric vehicles in China - the left-hand drive car market - to meet the growing demand. This means that Cherry will only focus on the Chinese auto market for this car.
However, it must be said that electric vehicles like the Cherry QQ Woozy Pro will make Pakistan a viable gateway to the era of electric vehicles. Because of this, we expect all three carmakers to launch their mini cars in our country.
