Federal Minister of Information and Communications Technology Syed Amin UI Haq on Tuesday directed the acceleration of the process of awarding cash prizes to the IT industry and setting a timetable in this regard.
The Minister issued these instructions while chairing the 51st meeting of the Board of Directors of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB). During the meeting, issues related to IT exports and the distribution of cash prizes between IT companies were discussed in detail.

The Federal Minister praised the Pakistan Software Export Council's Soft Skills Program and directed its officials to increase the proportion of women in their programmes. He said that empowering women is an important goal of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology.
Earlier, Usman Nasir, Managing Director, Pakistan Software Export Board, gave a detailed brief on PSEB's soft skills programmes. The meeting also approved the establishment of a sales launch platform at the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh and approved the minutes of the last meeting of the Board of Directors.
