The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has released the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) for admission into MBBS and BDS programs in 2022.

The MDCAT will be conducted in phases, as was the case last year.  MDCAT Phase 1 will run from August 15, 2022 to August 30, 2022. Phase Two will start on September 5, 2022 and end on September 20, 2022.

Applicants who fail the test due to a positive diagnosis of COVID-19 during these two phases will be eligible for the special MDCAT on September 30, 2022.

In the coming days, PMC will release the MDCAT 2022 syllabus, after which each applicant will be assigned a test date.  The date of the MDCAT 2022 results has not yet been determined by the PMC.

MDCAT was held from August 30 to September 30, 2021 last year.  The test was computer-based, and more than 200,000 people signed up to take the test.

On the other hand, the students wanted to reconfirm, claiming that PMC offered malfunctioning test equipment with insufficient internet service, which contained extra-curricular and ambiguous questions, and some students had to schedule exams within a month.
