ISLAMABAD - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host today, Sunday, a two-day conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, highlighting the role of the Islamic organization in maintaining regional and global peace and security.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry hosted a conference on experiences and capabilities in Jeddah in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The conference was attended by speakers from different regions to further enhance the session.
The head of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Hussein Brahem Taha, said mediation is important to the Organization of the Islamic Conference. He said that the fourth session of the arbitration conference is taking place at a critical juncture, at a time when the world was in dire need of mediation, negotiation and negotiation to resolve disputes.
He said that more than half of the clashes in the world take place in the OIC region, adding that the member states of the supreme Islamic organization are committed to resolving peaceful and lasting conflicts.
Taha also referred to the role of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in bringing peace to many countries, including Somalia, Guinea and Iraq.
According to a press release, the OIC agenda includes, among other things, the role of the OIC in the field of mediation, the humanitarian perspective of mediation, and five sessions for partnership with international and regional organizations.
The official statement added that the member states of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, organizations of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the United Nations, the International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, specialized research centers, as well as prominent regional and international figures in the field of arbitration should be represented. 200 experts including in the field of arbitration. The conference was attended by many observers from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
