Motorola Confirmed to Launch World’s First 200MP Phone

The 108MP on the smartphone camera was a breakthrough that we saw in 2019 with the Xiaomi Mi Note 10.  We've been stuck with the same resolution ever since, no phone has gone beyond 108MP to date, but that hurdle could soon be broken.

Motorola has just confirmed all the rumors about the 200MP Motorola phone.  Confirmation comes from a teaser that shows the smartphone's multiple camera sensors and highlights the 1 / 1.22 unit that sits among the rest.

The details show that Motorola's upcoming phone will use Samsung's ISOCELL HP1 sensor, which is the world's only 200MP sensor.

As mentioned in the teaser, the 200MP camera phone will be called Moto X30 Pro, which was earlier called Motorola Frontier.  With the teaser campaign already underway, we can expect the phone to launch later this month.  It is possible that the X30 Pro will be for China only, but it could be launched under another name in the global market.

The flagship phone is rumored to feature a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a smooth refresh rate of 144Hz.  It will have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and 125W 4,500mAh battery with support for fast charging.

Stay tuned for updates.
