A full autopsy of the Google App for Android reveals potential plans to improve the Google Assistant feature. Of course, digging into APKs isn't always right and some functionality may not be lost in future versions.
However, it is interesting to note that Google is taking another big step towards improving the Smart Assistant experience. It seems that if you opt for a better Google Assistant experience, the system will store and analyze your voice for further "customized speech recognition".
Voice storage and analysis will improve response time and accuracy as users' voices and commonly used words become familiar to Google Assistant. The assistant will also have access to Google's servers, where summaries of other users' speech patterns will be collected and analyzed. This feature will likely allow for more advanced identification of commands and contact names.
Of course, due to privacy concerns, it is assumed that Google will leave an option in the settings to opt out of custom speech recognition if you do not want to save your voice anywhere.
