IPhone 13 was the Best Selling Phone in Q1 2022

Once again, iPhones became the best-selling smartphones, at least in the first quarter of 2022.  The iPhone 13 was the most popular smartphone in the first quarter of 2022, and the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max were among the top 5 phones.

The report was released by market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC).

There is no sign of a place in the top five list of Samsung's flagship phones, but the company's budget phones have taken the lead.  The Samsung Galaxy A32 came in at number five, while the Galaxy A12 was the world's third best-selling phone.

This is not surprising since Samsung's A-Series made it to the top five last year, as well as a number of phones that topped the charts.

It should be noted that the Galaxy S22 series was launched in February 2022 and reached the markets by the end of the first quarter of 2022, so a direct comparison with the iPhone 13 is not appropriate.  But it is also true that Samsung's flagships rarely make it into the top five.

For this year, rumors say that Apple is planning to change things with the iPhone 14 series.  Instead of the iPhone 14 mini, we will get the iPhone 14 Max, a larger screen version of the iPhone 14.  Smaller models did not sell well.
