Vivo Y72t Launched With 6,000 mAh Battery for $209

After a series of high-profile flagships around the world, Vivo has turned its attention to the budget segment. The Chinese brand launched the Y72t smartphone in its local market with a large battery and an affordable price.

Design and Display

The Y72t comes with a dated design for a waterdrop notch selfie camera and a thicker bottom bezel. It is higher than the 6.58-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a density of 401 pixels per inch. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side of the phone and doubles as the power button.

Internals and Storage

The phone is powered by the modest MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. Also includes a memory card slot for storage expansion if you run out of built-in storage.

The software side is covered in Original OS 1.0 with Android 11 OS update.

Cameras

There are only two cameras on the back, a 50MP main sensor, and a 2MP depth camera. This camera is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.

The selfie camera has an 8MP wide angle lens which is also capable of recording 1080p video.

Battery and Pricing

The main highlight of the phone is its 6000mAh battery which ensures a mixed use of 2 to 3 days. Supports 18W fast charging.

The Vivo Y72t will be available in Star Powder (Pink Scale), Deep Black and Sea Blue colors starting at $209.
