Today, World No Tobacco Day is being observed all over the world, including Pakistan.

The day was started by the World Health Organization in 1987 to draw the world's attention to the dangers of smoking.  According to the World Health Organization, approximately 8 million people worldwide die each year from smoking.

Medical experts say about 600,000 of those who die do not smoke themselves.  These people suffer from various diseases due to other people's smoking smoke which later prove to be fatal.  One-third of them are minors who die as a result of smoking by their parents or other family members.

According to experts, if you want to quit smoking, follow these five ways.  First of all, it is important to prepare yourself and your family mentally.  Don't hesitate to ask for help quitting smoking.

Focus on new pursuits and habits, and try to get rid of the urge to smoke.  Move yourself to alternative ways of using tobacco.  Set a goal and reward yourself when you're done.
