According to 24 News TV, Sui Southern Gas Pipelines (SSGPL) has suspended the supply of gas to general industries in Karachi for one day to ensure the supply of gas to resident customers.
Gas supply will resume on Monday (tomorrow) at 8 am.
The SSGPL has also cut off gas supplies to captive power plants, using non-export-oriented industries to use gas as fuel to generate their own electricity, so that residential consumers can have an adequate supply.
The ex-chairman of the Kurangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Danesh Khan has appealed to the government to restore gas supplies.
