The Pakistan Medical Commission has announced revised syllabuses for the MDCAT National Medical and Dental College Admission Test 2022. The syllabus has been finalized after consultation with various stakeholders and it has been ascertained that there is no subject outside the current syllabus of any panel in Pakistan. The MDCAT 2022 syllabus was announced after the 12th meeting of the National Medical and Dental Council on June 27, 2022.
The syllabus was announced after the twelfth meeting on 27 June 2022 on the recommendation of the National Academic Council of Medicine and Dentistry. Subjects are weighted in MDCAT. As per the details, 34% of the questions in MDCAT will be from Biology, 27% from Chemistry, 27% from Physics, 9% from English and 3% from Logical Reasoning. The MDCAT paper will consist of a total of 200 MCQs based on the approved percentage.
