Dr. Shahid Munir has been appointed as the Head of Higher Education Institution for 4 years. The Department of Higher Education has issued a notification for the appointment of the head of the Higher Education Authority.
Higher Education in Punjab has got a permanent president, now Dr. Shahid Munir will be the president of PHEC, Dr. Shahid Munir was the vice chancellor of Jang University before, the post of president of PHEC has been vacant for ten months. Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz Sharif approved the post in September 2021 after the resignation of Dr. Fazal Ahmed Khalid.
Dr. Shahid Munir is a graduate of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Punjab University and was also the Director of the Department of Coal Technology, Punjab University. Dr. Shahid Munir has also been appointed as Examiner of Punjab University Examinations. Dr Shahid Munir holds a PhD from the University of Leeds, UK.
