US Navy fighter jet crashes, pilot killed

A US Navy fighter jet crashed, killing the pilot.

The U.S. Navy said in a statement that its navy fighter jet crashed in the desert in San Bernardino County, California, killing the pilot and causing it to crash during a routine flight.

Sources said that naval officials and investigation teams have reached the spot and the investigation into the accident is underway.  The identity of the dead pilot has not been revealed.
