According to Agence France-Presse, a senior Sri Lankan official said that President Gotabhaya Raja Pax would resign on July 13.
According to Indian media, the Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament confirmed that the President had decided to resign on July 13 for a peaceful transfer of power.
