Maryam Nawaz blames 'gang of four judges and a general’ for Pakistan's crises

Sargodha - Vice President of the Muslim League (North) Maryam Nawaz on Thursday slammed the Supreme Court of Pakistan and former retired general of the Directorate General of Jamaat-e-Islami Faiz Hameed for plotting against party chief Nawaz Sharif.

Addressing the party's labor conference in Sargodha, he said Lieutenant-General (retired) Faiz Hameed, former Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nassar and Asif Saeed Khosa, and the two serving judges of the Supreme Court Mazhir Ali Akbar Naqvi and Ijaz al-Ahsan are part of the fifth.  Batch gang member' responsible for the crises facing Pakistan today.

Showing his pictures on the screen, he said that Imran Khan was claiming a plot to topple his government, but the actual plot was against Nawaz Sharif.  He pointed out that Lieutenant General (retired) Fayez was the leader of the gang that chose the judges to exclude his father.

He said remnants of General Faiz's tenure still exist as two judges are part of the bench which hears cases related to elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.  The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Umar Atta Bendial, urged vigilance to "fix the bench".  Referring to Judge Qazi Fayez Issa, he said that judges of the highest integrity were not part of the court body.

He said that if the chief of PTI is bailed out by the Supreme Court justices, then Pakistan will have no future.  He alleged that the Todes were backing Imran in the cases, giving him chances of securing bail.

He also mocked PTI's "Jail Bharu" movement and said that the policemen kept asking the party workers to surrender but they fled the scene instead.  Now they are approaching the court to release their leader.

Maryam indicated that the institution concerned with confirming Imran has returned home, and that the judges who support it will be exposed.
