Twitter Circle is Rolling Out to More People Globally

Twitter launched Circle Testing earlier this month, a feature that lets you select specific audiences for your tweets.  The testing phase started with a limited group but now it is spreading to more people around the world.

This feature works like Instagram's close friends in that it allows you to select specific groups of people to share tweets with Twitter instead of all Twitter.  It's not clear how many people have access to circles, but more users are starting to see the feature pop up as they tweet.

It seems so.

Twitter Circle is Rolling Out to More People Globally

Twitter spokesman Joseph Nunez told The Verge that the circuits were still being tested and had not yet been made public.

We are still currently testing Twitter Circle with a group of people across iOS, Android and Web globally. The feature has not rolled out widely to everyone yet as we continue to gather feedback.

Currently, you can add up to 150 people to your circles, whether they follow you or not.  Users in your circles will only see a note on the circle's tweets that says "Only people in the Twitter circle @ [yourusername] can see this tweet."  People in your circles will not be able to retweet these tweets, but they can still take a screenshot and download it.
