WhatsApp is Rolling Out a Chat Filtering Feature

Following a series of updates, Meta's WhatsApp now plans to introduce the ability to filter chats on standard accounts.

WABetaInfo reports that the app has been offering regular features to business users since its successful launch last year.  The social platform has added simple filters to quickly find specific conversations on beta versions of Android, iOS, and desktop apps.

The feature is now slowly coming to standard accounts in an upcoming update.

WABetaInfo notes that this feature is available in chat for business accounts.  This feature allows users to sort chats based on four filters: unread chats, contacts, non-contacts and groups.  The filter button will always be visible in chat, even when chats and messages are not being searched.

This feature is already available for users who have installed WhatsApp Beta UWP version 2.2216.4.0.  It is still being developed for standard WhatsApp accounts and will be released in a future update.
