ISPR warns of legal action over ‘malicious allegations’ against army

RAWALPINDI - Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has described the rumors circulating on social media regarding the former Finance Minister as baseless propaganda.

And the military media wing warned in a statement issued on Wednesday that malicious accusations and blatant lies against the organization and its leadership to promote personal interests are reprehensible, and against those involved, and reserves the right to take legal measures.

The institute said the statements made by the journalist and some others on social media about the former finance minister are baseless propaganda.  Shaukat Tarin himself denied this as well.

The move came in response to a tweet from a journalist on social media alleging that Tareen had been asked to deceive PTI chief Imran Khan and assist Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

An hour later, Tarin also categorically denied this news, saying that he had not asked anyone in the establishment to leave Khan and join the Sharif government.
