US military aircraft possibly carrying 'nuclear material' crashes in California

LOS ANGELES - A U.S. military plane carrying five soldiers crashed in southern California on Wednesday, a military spokesman said.

Four people are believed to have been killed, while a fifth is still missing.

Five people were onboard the Osprey aircraft

The military has denied reports that the plane was carrying radioactive material when it crashed near Glimus, 20 miles (35 kilometers) from the Mexican border.

At approximately 1225 PST, an MV-22B crashed near Osprey Glamis, California.  Were deployed, "the United States Marine Corps said in a tweet.

A total of 46 people have been killed in osprey accidents in different areas over the last 30 years.
