Postman arrested for possessing 20,000 letters

More than 20,000 letters have been recovered from the home of a postman in Spain who never delivered.

According to the British newspaper, the postman was arrested on charges of incompetence and fraud.  Local police say the letters were posted a decade ago and not only were they posted, but all the letters were sent from the postman's trash envelopes.  The postman's move came as he sold his home.

During the renovation of the house after the sale, the postman found garbage bags scattered in the house.  When the seal was closed, all messages were sent to Alcantara residents.

The postman was later arrested and charged with fraud for failing to protect documents.  All letters have been returned to the post office but whether these letters should be re-posted or not.  The decision will be made by the court.
