The government has increased the prices of petroleum products

The government has again increased the prices of petroleum products.

This was announced by Finance Minister Muftah Ismail while addressing a press conference. Petrol and diesel prices will be increased by up to Rs 30.  The new price of petrol will be 209.30 per liter.

He said that with the increase of Rs. 30, diesel would be Rs. 204 while light diesel would be Rs. 178 more expensive.  The price of kerosene will go up to Rs 181.94 crore.

He said that the whole nation would face inflation but due to global inflation prices would go up.

The finance minister said that flour would be sold at Rs 40 and sugar at Rs 70 throughout the year.  Sugar and flour prices will continue to be subsidized and rice, pulses and ghee will also be subsidized for some time.

Muftah Ismail said that talks with the IMF were necessary at that time and an agreement with the IMF would be reached by June.

He further said that Imran Khan had provided support to the people by violating the agreement.  Imran Khan has laid the net since March 15.

It should be noted that a few days ago, the present government had increased the price of petrol by Rs 30 per liter.
