PC Market to See Supply Exceed Demand for The First Time in Years

Before the slowdown in 2022, 2020 and 2021 were favorable years for the PC market.  This downward trend may continue until the end of the year, says Rex Lee, chief marketing officer of Asus (CMO).

CMO claims that the PC market will see oversupply this year and Asus is taking the necessary steps to ensure the stability of its business.

Quoting the CEO, the IT Home report said Li cautioned that European, American and Chinese PC markets are on a downward trend in demand.  If this trend continues until the end of 2022, the PC market will experience an oversupply.

During the company's press conference, Asus made it clear that it wants to avoid oversupply but at the same time be competitive in the global PC market.  The Taiwanese laptop manufacturer has recently shifted its production to mid-range laptops, similar to the Zenbook 2022 range.

The Zenbook 2022 series is an excellent mid-range laptop for those users who want a high refresh rate OLED screen at an affordable price.

CMO said Asus will also move its sales to India in 2022 as it remains one of the growing PC markets this year.

It has to do with the market decline in other parts of the world, such as Europe, which is undergoing deterioration due to Ukraine's ongoing war with Russia.  The Chinese market is also experiencing stagnant growth due to the COVID sanctions, and North America is experiencing high inflation.
