42 Pakistani Universities Feature in Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2022

The 2022 Asia Times Higher Education (THE) University Rankings includes 42 Pakistani universities.  While 21 national institutions have been rated by THE, the rest have been granted "reporter" status on the list.

According to the details, Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) is on top of the list of Pakistani universities.  Abdul Wali Khan University is affiliated with Abdul Wali Khan Mardan University and the International Islamic University Islamabad.

The University of Asia ranking uses the same 13 indicators of performance as the global university rankings, but focuses on highlighting the best institutions in Asia.

The 2022 rankings include 616 universities from 31 countries based on teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international perspectives.

As in previous years, China ranked first and second, while Japan, for the second year in a row, was the most represented country in the Asia University rankings.
