Letin Mengo is a Super Affordable Mini-EV Designed by Legendary Italian Company

Small electric vehicles (EVs) are attracting the attention of automotive press fans and outlets around the world.

One of the most recent offerings in this segment is the Latin Mango EV - a five-door hatchback for a young family of five.  It competes with the Changan Lumin Corn, Chery QQ, Wuling Mini-EV and other similar models.

Details

Although the car was designed by Pennfrina - a famous Italian design house - it has a very quiet appearance.  With the exception of a few sharp lines, a sporty rear end, sleek headlights and taillights, and two-tone body paint, the Mango looks just like any other hatchback.

Letin Mengo is available in 5 different variants.  Each type has an electric motor that supports fast and slow charging.  It produces a maximum power of 47 horsepower, a torque of 125 Nm and a maximum speed of 100 kmph.

• The lower variant has an 11.52 kWh battery pack that offers a driving range of up to 130 km.
• The mid-range variant has a 17.28 kWh battery pack that offers a 185 km driving range.
• The top variant includes a 29.44 kWh battery pack that offers a 300 km driving range.

Latin Mango also comes with a number of advanced features such as a 9-inch center console display, climate control, GPS navigation, 5G connectivity, and many driver assistance features.

In addition, the interior is modern and reasonably spacious, with five passengers, including two adults and three children.  The rear seats are suitable for ISO mounted child seat attachment points and luggage storage.

In China, Latin Mango starts at 39,800 RMB (1.18 million PKR) and goes up to 59,800 RMB (1.77 million PKR).  Due to its features and practicality, Letin Mengo appears to be a strong competitor in China's small electric car market.
