Increase petrol prices by keeping a stone on the heart, will give relief to poor people, Prime Minister

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had said that the increase in petrol and diesel prices was a stone's throw away.

He said that the previous government did not provide relief to the people in flour, sugar and pulses.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of East Bay Expressway in Gwadar, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that development work in Gwadar was slow.  He has done aerial photography of the construction work in Gwadar.  He further said that China has set up desalination plant in Gwadar.  If cheap desalination plants had been installed earlier, every house in Gwadar would have had access to clean water.  China has established a standard eastern highway.  Which opened today.  Security agencies provide the best protection to Chinese citizens.  He said that solar panels have been provided to 3200 families residing in Gwadar.  Development work has started in Gwadar but the pace of work is not yet satisfactory.  We will improve the transport facility from Gwadar to Karachi.  Thanks to Chinese brothers, Pakistani friends and security agencies.

The foundation stone of Gwadar Airport was laid in 2017, it was given as a grant by the Chinese President.  But we have not been able to complete it yet.  There is water problem in Gwadar.  Which will be worked on in the third phase.  Dredging has not been done at Gwadar port for many years.  Steps are being taken to overcome energy shortage in Gwadar.  With the construction of East Bay, Gwadar will be connected to Karachi via National Highway.  The people of Gwadar will be guaranteed clean drinking water.  Efforts are underway to generate electricity from solar panels in Gwadar and its environs.  In addition, desalination plants should be set up in Gwadar without wasting any more time.  The Prime Minister of Balochistan has an important role to play in the development of the people of Gwadar.  Other issues also slow down.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the previous government had set a trap by lowering oil prices so that we would be trapped.  Gasoline prices are skyrocketing around the world.  How can imported goods be subsidized?

We had no choice but to raise prices.  We have provided a subsidy of Rs. 2000 to the poor.  Our heart goes to the poor.  We will give more relief to the poor.  Show the people, all ministers including me should be simple, elite, government and officials should be simple.
